‘Supernatural’ star to join ‘Walking Dead’ spinoff as new series writer on upcoming ‘Supergirl’ spin-off
The actress who played Lana on the CW series “Supernatural” is joining the upcoming “Walking Death” spinoff, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
In a statement, the series’ co-creators David Goyer and Michael Green said, “I am thrilled to be able to bring our incredible cast and crew to the world of ‘Superman.’
We are excited to have Lana join the ‘Superdeath’ team of writers and producers to tell the story of a woman on a mission to bring a world to life.”
“Supergirl” will be written by Goyer, who also is producing, and executive produced by “WALKING DEAD” creator Robert Kirkman and “Superman” star Melissa Benoist.
“Superhuman” will begin production in February and debut on CBS in spring 2018.
“Wag the Dog” star David Schwimmer is also expected to star as Lana in the spinoff.
The “Waking Life” spin-offs “Superheroes” and “The Walking Dead” are both currently filming, and they will premiere later this year.
“The Superhuman” series will also feature “Superboy,” the first Supergirl spinoff that aired in 2005.
